Inspiring a
Cycling Culture
in East Africa
The series encourages more individuals to engage with the sport, whether as participants, spectators, or supporters, fostering a community that values and promotes cycling.
Supporting
Development Teams
The series provides support to teams, ensuring they have the opportunity to participate and compete at a high level. This support is especially vital for development squads like the Black Mambas, as it allows young athletes to gain invaluable race experience, helping them transition into professional cycling careers and strengthening the future of the sport in Kenya.

Identifying
and
Developing Local Talent
The series serves as a scouting ground to discover and nurture new cycling talent. Many young East African riders possess the potential to compete globally but lack opportunities to showcase their abilities. These races offer a stage for emerging cyclists to gain recognition and access pathways to professional development
Creating More Racing
Opportunities
in East Africa
Historically, East African cyclists had limited access to high-level competitions without traveling abroad. By hosting world-class races locally, the series provides riders with platforms to compete, gain experience, and develop their skills within their home region.

The LOOP Safari Race Series is Kenya’s premier gravel racing event, organized by The Amani Project. Spanning five distinct locations—Nairobi, Rift Valley, Machakos, Hell’s Gate (Naivasha), and the Coastal region—the series offers riders a unique and diverse racing experience. Originally established to create more local racing opportunities, it has since grown into the country’s largest gravel festival, bringing together cyclists from all over to compete and celebrate the spirit of adventure on two wheels.
